Four arrested in Lorain prostitution sting

LORAIN — A prostitution sting led to the arrest of four women Tuesday, according to police reports.

Kathryn Avalos, 45, of the 200 block of West Eighth Street, Audrey Ireland, 51, homeless, Rosalie Rivera, 26, of the 700 block of West 23rd Street and Theresa Uyek, 44, of the 300 block of Arizona Avenue, were all arrested and charged with loitering to engage in solicitation.

Police Officer Jeremy Gray, driving in an undercover vehicle, approached the women on Reid Avenue in response to prostitution complaints.

The women were arrested after offering to have sex with Gray or perform oral sex on him for between $20 and $50, the reports said. Gray was under “constant” audio and visual surveillance during the sting, according to the reports.
